The adidas Matchcourt has a long outstanding history within skateboarding culture. In the ’70s, skaters had picked up the original Matchcourt basketball sneakers and made it their own, happy with the board feel they provided and the all around aesthetic. Alongside pro skateboarder Marc Johnson, adidas introduces the Matchcourt RX in a black suede/leather construction featured with Marc’s initials upon a distinguished heel tab. These kicks embody the same classic performance of its predecessors re-adapted for modern skateboarding.
